I didn't really feel like a big run today, so I ran a mile, walked .75, ran 1.25, then did a .5 cool down.  My total time was 35:26.  There were a few pauses courtesy of Provo City and a 2 year old that thinks he'll whither away and die if he's not constantly eating, but it was still a decent run overall.

I think I need to really focus on stretching throughout the day instead of just when I'm running.  My hamstrings are feeling tight and my heels are bothering me off and on when I run.  I spent an extra 10 minutes stretching today, so hopefully that helps.  I ran 3.5 miles in 32:01 with a couple of pauses for stretching, then did my cool down.

I'm skipping the run today.  My legs feel weird and tight.  Instead, I'm going to do three or four rounds of stretching.  Then maybe just a leisurely walk during one of the sessions tomorrow.

I took the weekend off and just tried to stretch my left calf and tailbone a lot.  Today I squeezed in a run on my way to the chiropractor.  Serious issues with the tailbone-even Dr. Clifford noticed it.  He said basically that all my flexers were completely out and my symmetry is non-existent right now.  Sooooo, I'm supposed to spend extra time stretching morning and night and go back on Friday to finish the adjustment.  Man, what a difference it's already made though!

 Anyways, I've decided that I'm pushing a little too much in the speed department and that might be at least partially causing some of my recent issues, so I slowed back down a little bit and it felt better.  I ran 3.25 in 30:34 then did a .5 mile cool down.  I did pause a couple of time to stretch.  Hopefully this all goes away soon!

I slowed down to 6.5 for my speed and I think it's helping.  My legs still feel tight, but the extra stretching is helping with that as well.  I ran 3.25 miles in 30:35, then did a longer walk for a cool down.  My tailbone is beyond tight still.  The running is helping it relax enough so I CAN stretch though.

Ok, either I've inhaled WAY too much sawdust this past week or I have a serious chest something or other.  I am having issues breathing last night and today.  As a result, my legs pooped out on me, so I decided to go with the flow.  I ran 1.3 miles, then walked a while, then ran a little more, then walked the rest of the way.  I paused twice to get some extra stretching in as well.  I think my time was 34ish minutes.

After eating way too much candy filling easter eggs last night, I felt that I needed to at least try for some miles today.  It was better than yesterday, but that's about all I can say.  I think all the extra stretching is finally loosening up my tailbone, which is great.  I ran 1.5 miles, then interchanged walking and running for the rest of the way.  My entire abdomen hurts from coughing yesterday and my voice is almost completely gone, but I think I'm getting over the hump of whatever this is.  I did 3.5 miles in 34:30, and my total time was 43ish.

No running today.  Just pure bliss after visiting the chiropractor-all the pain in my tailbone is finally gone!  So nice.

Yeah, so not so much pure bliss today.  Throat issues, chest issues, back issues, and just not feeling well.  So long for now running!  Hopefully we meet again next week.

Still not feeling great, but better.  I did walking/jogging today-walk .5, jogged .75, walked .5, jogged .5, walked .5, jogged .25, walked .34.  Total time was 38 something.  I called the doctor's office this morning about the cough and breathing, so hopefully I can get that taken care of and get back on track. (On the plus side, since I'm not feeling well, the Easter candy didn't tempt me AT ALL)

Feeling a lot closer to normal today, but still kept it nice and easy.  Ran 2.5 of the 3.5 miles.  Total time was 36:34.  I think Marion will need to teach me some yoga while we're in St. George.

Ran with Marion in St. George today.  It was my first time running outside and I definitely see the benefits!  It was freezing cold, but it felt great!  I also see why it's so fun to run with someone else-it made the run go by so much faster!!!

Ok, so we can still get busted by old farts.  Running between two trails is interesting.  I could see why people like running in St. George though-the trails are great once you're on them!  I think today is the longest run I've done since my freshman year of high school and it felt great!  My legs were a little sore later on in the day, but it wasn't too bad.  I think i might need to start doing my running outside!!  Thanks Marion!!!

It took me until last night to realize that I ran a 10k last Thursday!!  Okay, I was slightly short, but it's close enough for me!  Yippee!!!!!  I've been told I'm not allowed to run anymore until my doctor okay's it though, so I'll be sticking to walking and a slow jog until then (hopefully sometime this week).  Today I only did 3 miles and my total time was 34:45.  It felt okay, but I had to resist the urge to go faster.  I really hope I can get into the doctor soon!

After all the crap comfort food I've consumed this week, I decided to at least start walking again.  I'm pretty sure the worst of it is over and I'm feeling the change of diet from this week.  It felt good to do something other than sit around and be exhausted.  I went pretty slow.  I ran for 2.50 miles, varying between 5.8 and 6.5, and walked between 4.5 and 5.1 for the rest of it.  I really need to stretch more and get back to the chiropractor.  Maybe I can finally get my tailbone back where it belongs.  Total time was 43:37.  Definitely a downer week.

I'm back!  Today felt like a really good run.  A few spots of tightness, but so much better than last week.  I ran 3.25 miles in 30:37, then did a .75 mile cool down-with no breaks even!  I'm finally feeling like I'm getting control of my body back.  Hopefully that means control of the emotions follows suit!  I'm still trying to keep it easy though.  I'm really hoping this is an indicator of what the rest of the week will be!

Feeling pretty good again today. I did stop to stretch at about 2.5 miles-I'm sore from yesterday!!  I did 3.25 miles in 30:01, then jogged .25, speed walked .5, and did a .25 cool down.  Definitely feeling back to normal this week.  Just need to go to the chiropractor to finish the tweaking!

Today is all about interruptions apparently.  Lots of unintended breaks, but still a good run I think.  I'm definitely stiff from the long break last week and it feels good to be working it out a little bit more each day.  I ran 3 miles in 28:15, then jogged .25, and walked .5 for a cool down.

Pretty good today.  I got a phone call about 1.25 miles into the run and it lasted a while so I kind of started over again.  I ran 3.75 (total) miles in 36:31, then did a .75 mile cool down.  My heels have been really tight this week, so I've been trying to stretch them as much as possible and right before I go to bed at night.  I think it's starting to help.
