Had to take a break due to a second round of strep last week.  Figured I should let my body fully recover before trying to get back into the exercise thing again.

Decided to do some jogging today and it felt good.  It's been really hard not pushing myself too hard too early because I feel great doing something.  I know I need to do it slowly though.  Did a .25 mile warm-up, jogged 1.25 miles at 5.6 mph, walked .5 miles at 4.8 mph, jogged another .5 mile at 5.7 mph, then did a cool down.  Total time was 32:00.

The head cold has descended to our house-everyone but paige and me is sick.  Did the same jaunt as Monday, but added one more walking lap.  Total time was 34:15.

Tried a new workout today.  Did the weight loss workout on my treadmill for 30 minutes.  It had a speed range of 4.7 to 5.7 mph for most of it and an incline range of 1-5.  The hardest part for me was when it was on 5.2 mph and an incline of 4.  Without an incline that's my speed walk, but the incline just about killed my chins, calves, and feet.

Even though the kids kept interrupting, I managed to actually finish a little workout today.  I did the weight loss program on my treadmill again.  I went for 30 minutes with a max speed of 5.8 and incline of 5.  Still hurt the arches of my feet, but it feels good to be doing something again!

Sarah is seven weeks old today!  And I feel like I'm starting to get back into the swing of things with exercising.  I actually went an entire night without stuffing my face with food, a great sign my body is adjusting to getting used again!  Did .25 mile warm-up, jogged 1.25 miles at 5.8, walked .5 mile at 4.8, jogged .75 mile at 5.9, then did a cool down.  Total time was 34:31

well, life has once again stepped in.  this week has been full of taking care of my sick baby.  thursday night landed us at the hospital, where we still are for the weekend.  hopefully things will calm down next week.

I finally got some exercise in!  I can totally feel a difference in my body-and not in a good direction.  Did .25 mile warm-up, jogged 1 mile, walked .25, jogged 1.25 miles, then walked .5 miles.  Total time was 34:14.

I tried the incline at 2 for 99% of the time and it hurt the arches of my feet when I was walking.  I don't know if that means I need to stretch better or just get used to it.  The jogging felt pretty good.  I think the breakdown was something like .25 mile warm up, jogged 1.25 miles, walked .75 miles, jogged .75 miles, then did a .25 cool down.  Total time was 36:25.  Hopefully I'll get back into more of a routine soon-chocolate is not repulsive to me anymore and it's showing!

I have one word for my body today-SORE!!!!!  I decided to start incorporating some stomach exercises and push-ups into my stretching after the run and I am SERIOUSLY out of shape!  Oh well, that's why I'm starting to do it now.  I wanted to see what kind of stamina I had today so I kept the incline at 1.  Did a .25 mile warm-up, jogged 3 miles, then did a cool down.  Total time was 37:07.  I was pretty proud of myself that I lasted that long-I didn't think I could yet.

I wanted to slow it down a little bit today, so I walked the entire time.  Did an incline of 2 and a speed of 4.9 mph.  Total time was 43:00.
